Chirigota en Tarifa. A type of music native to Cadiz. The songs are satirical in nature and are performed predominantly in the streets. Luckily we stumbled upon one of these. It was so COOOLL!! A really great show!

Things of note.
- 2L of Don Simón’s ‘finest’ vino tinto (red wine)
- Coriander! Lucky find.
- 5Kg of Potatoes and 2Kg of Onions - because some things never change
- Three types of cheese.
- Suncream, thank god.
- Pato Pate (Duck Pate)
- and a ready-made tortilla (spanish omelette)!

So the weather was being a little British on my Birthday, so aside from a night at Los Corralones (more on that later) we decided to celebrate by staying in and cooking a roast dinner. That may not seem like that big a deal, but if you ever live outside the UK for a while, you’ll understand how comforting a ritual that can be!
The dinner was great and when we finished my flatmates and friends surprised me with this!
Aside from many small birthday cakes. I got a brick of Jamón, two rock-solid aged cheeses, and two bottles of nice Spanish wine!
Two weeks later all that survives is the nicer bottle of wine. It’s being saved for a special occasion. Like a wednesday.
